Jhajjar, one of the 21 districts of Haryana, holds a glorifying history and tradition. The historic monuments, buildings, pools and mausoleums unfold the rich history of the place. Just 65 Km from Delhi, the place attracts huge number of adventure lovers and tourists every year. The place can be best explored between October and March to avoid unpleasant summer.
Adventure Activities:- The historic sites of Jhajjar are the most prominent places to visit. However, the place will not dissatisfy the adventure freaks. The Tourism Department of Haryana has approved Pratapgarh farms as eco-tourism destination in Jhajjar. The Bhindawas Bird Sanctuary is the home of 35,000 species of migratory birds. The bird lovers can drop in to Jhajjar during winter to see the lovely birds. The largest archeological museum in this place also attracts many tourists. However, beside adventure activities you can come to this place to glimpse the temples and Bua Wala Talab.
How to reach:- Jhajjar, the city of Haryana with immense historic importance is bridged with other major parts of India through Rail, air and roads.The IGI Airport, 53Km away from Jhajjar is the closest airbase. However, tourists can also arrive to this beautiful place from Kheria Airport, Agra.
Jhajjar boasts for its own railway station, but for better communication tourists can take train to Ismaila Haryana (24Km) or Sampla (23Km) from Jhajjar.
The Jhajjar bus stop is the prime bus terminus where buses from neighbouring states arrive. You can also hire cabs from adjacent cities for Jhajjar.
